Focus Areas

1. Recreational Services

We are redefining the sports and recreation frontier and making areas where people with autism will feel like they are truly a part of the team and inspired to participate. Increased access to recreational opportunities by more children and adults is occurring either through personalised lessons or as part of a group through exercises under the direction of trained professionals in sports, arts, and creative expression. This change not only expands access but also brings out confidence and community bonds.

2. Work & Employment:

Having meaningful employment is very crucial to the general quality of life of adults with autism. Opportunities can vary from a sheltered work environment to a fully integrated work environment, depending on the individual’s ability and support needs. What is important is the ability to match the appropriate level of support with the individual’s needs to achieve thriving, effective, and appreciated status as valuable employees in their workforce.

3. Workshops:

Members at The Wonder Ones arrange practical and interactive mini-workshops to target parents and those involved in working with people with autism spectrum. The topics that are practical in nature and discussed during these sessions are extensive, and they encompass the knowledge of the Autism characteristics, the evidence-based teaching strategies, and effective intervention strategies. They also discuss the daily struggles of autistic individuals and their families, providing information, experiences, and resources.

4. Early Intervention program:

We at The Wonder Ones provide early intervention services to children below the age of six years old that have a developmental disability, such as autism or otherwise. This is a program that was designed to respond to the intervention and training requirements that were found in the community surveys and outreach programs. Children under the age of six who have been diagnosed with a disability or are at risk of having a disability are provided with timely support that can contribute significantly to their development.

5. Awareness Drives:

We engage in local communities with active involvement in sharing clear, compassionate, and reliable information regarding autism. Such awareness campaigns, in turn, make people realise what difficulties may affect autistic people daily and make them more accepting and supportive. It is in this continuing effort that we hope to develop neighbourhoods in which every child feels known, accepted and comprehended.

6. Legal Support & Documentation Assistance:

The staff at The Wonder Ones offers step-by-step guidance to ensure that the families get through legal documents and government-related procedures with ease. By working with the right authorities, we also help with disability certificates, identity paperwork and welfare scheme applications, so the families know what they need and hand everything in correctly. Our other role is to clear up the eligibility requirements, describe the available benefits and provide help in following up or approvals.

7. Creative Therapy / Arts & Crafts Sessions:

We have some structured art and craft sessions in which we aim to assist the developmental needs of the children in an entertaining and exciting manner. The activities are helpful in enhancing fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, exploration of senses, and problem-solving ability. Creative therapy also offers an emotional outlet through children being free to express their thoughts and feelings through the use of art. Using different materials, textures, and colours will enable them to feel confident, work better on their concentration, and acquire new skills in a positive atmosphere.

8. Family Connection Groups:

We have family support groups that provide a secure and friendly atmosphere to parents and caregivers of autistic children. These events promote open discussions during which families may discuss experiences, practical tips, and useful support. They also facilitate a sense of belonging, emotional relief and mutual compassion. Through the years, a great number of families find a solid bond, become best friends, and also feel strong by having others who are also undergoing the same experience. Here at The Wonder Ones, we intend to make sure that none of the families feel lonely and that every person has a circle of people he/she can count on in order to support and motivate him/her.
